Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you’ve always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our team will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. We utilize the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve.
Every smile starts with an Initial Consultation!
At the Initial Consultation appointment, your medical/dental history along with photos of your face and teeth, necessary x-rays, and a clinical examination will help us determine if you are ready to begin orthodontic treatment. If you have a current Panorex x-ray (obtainable through your dentist), it is beneficial to bring it with you to this appointment. If Dr. Lupi determines that you are ready for treatment, all information, treatment options, and financial information will be discussed with you in detail and any questions or concerns addressed.
What happens next?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your Initial Consultation, for most patients, the first step is Diagnostic Records, which includes study models and additional x-ray(s) if not already taken. All of this information, along with the photos taken at the your Initial Consultation, is will be used to develop a custom treatment plan and is helpful in tracking the your progress during the course of treatment. If you are ready to move ahead with treatment the same day as your Initial Consultation, we are glad to complete the Diagnostics at that appointment, or we are happy to find a day & time that would fit your scheduling needs! It’s truly is that easy!
Scheduling appointments through treatment
Visiting the orthodontist about every six to eight weeks is an important part of your treatment. We will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, we ask that you contact our office as soon as possible. We will advise you at that time if we have room in the schedule to work you back in, or if we need to look for a different day & time. We do, kindly, require 24-hour notice when cancelling and/or rescheduling.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months throughout your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
